Why aren’t Democrats making a bigger issue of this Voter ID fiasco?
This should upset you whether you are a Democrat or a Republican as these same tactics will be used when democracy is out of line with the corporatocracy. Most importantly why isn’t the Democratic Party fighting this issue on multiple fronts? Why aren’t they beating down the doors of every court in the land with the utterances of these scheming and fraudulent politicians? Why aren’t they seeking civil rights charges on those politicians that have admitted this wrong? Why did they jump on the whistle-blower’s story in the clip? Why aren’t their massive voter registration and voter ID assistance in every precinct in every state with these evil undemocratic draconian laws?
Chris Hayes played a clip where Wisconsin State Representative Glenn Grothman specifically states that the law will help them beat Hillary Clinton. This admission is reminiscent to Republicans Pennsylvania Representative Mike Turzai’s similar statement.
Republicans are currently doing this to maintain power even as most of the citizens of the country based on many polls want them out. As such they are finding ways to suppress the vote that offers them plausible deniability.
Republican citizens should not view this as something that impact Democrats and the others only. Rest assured that the tactics learned will be used against their own when it becomes necessary, when the Republican populous disagree with the will of the monied interest funding the government arm of the plutocracy. Beware!
